City Rescue Mission is expanding its impact—and strengthening its institutional funding strategy.
We are seeking a Grant Manager to lead and grow our foundation and public funding portfolio as our programs, housing initiatives, and community reach continue to expand.
About the Role
The Grant Manager leads City Rescue Mission’s institutional giving strategy, securing approximately $1.5 million annually in foundation, public, and workplace giving. This role manages the full grant lifecycle—from prospecting and proposal development to reporting and compliance—and serves as the primary relationship manager for institutional funders.
What You’ll Do
Develop and execute an institutional giving strategy aligned with organizational priorities
Manage a grants portfolio including foundations, public funding, and workplace campaigns
Conduct prospect research and identify new funding opportunities
Lead all aspects of grant writing, submissions, and reporting
Maintain grant calendars, deadlines, and compliance requirements
Collaborate with program and finance teams to gather outcomes and data
Steward funder relationships through clear communication and timely reporting
Track and document all grant activity within the CRM system
Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; emphasis in nonprofit management, public administration, communications, or a related field preferred
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in grant writing and institutional fundraising
Demonstrated success securing significant foundation and public funding
Strong experience managing a grants pipeline and calendar independently
Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills
Strong analytical and organizational skills with high attention to detail
Experience collecting and interpreting program outcomes and performance data
Proficiency with CRM systems and grant tracking tools
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities with minimal supervision
Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism in working with funders and internal stakeholders
Commitment to the mission and values of City Rescue Mission
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Ability to navigate through indoor and outdoor connecting areas within the City Rescue Mission campus
Ability to tolerate working at a desk for extended periods
Ability to tolerate a deadline-driven, fast-paced work environment
Ability to be flexible in scheduling, including evening and weekend hours throughout the year
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of quality
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-based environment
Ability to be flexible in scheduling as required to meet grant deadlines
Ability to travel within the Oklahoma City area
